Today was our last day to hang out at the pool and my last frozen pink lemonade.  We ended up getting lunch from the snack bar by the pool.  I had made plans to meet up with my friend Kim Smith (remember her from our last trip?) and her husband Sean.  Today also happened to be Marilyn Monroe's 80th birthday so that was another reason for the meet-up.  The biggest reason though was because I recently won an item from the big Joe DiMaggio auction (plane tickets for Joe and Marilyn's honeymoon to Japan!!!) and I had them shipped to Kim to save me a ton of money in custom charges.  Kim brought them right to the hotel for me.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!   Then we walked around the Forum Shops for awhile and even stopped by one of Marilyn's favourite stores...Pucci.

Later that night Duane and I went to Kahunaville in Treasure Island for dinner.  We walked over to Mirage which is right next to Caesars and then took the free tram to Treasure Island.  Here is another money saving tip....go to www.restaurant.com and purchase the $25 off coupon for Kahunaville (check the boards at www.tripadvisor.com  to get discount coupon for the restaurant site) basically it cost me around $5 and we had no trouble using the coupon.  The food was AMAZING.  I had the ribs and Duane had a stirfry.  Wish I had taken a photo his rice came in one of those old fashioned looking chinese containers.  Very cool.

Since this was our last free night we decided to walk down the strip to the Wynn.  Let me just say that I was very, very impressed with it.  This is another place I would like to try someday.  It was very elegant and tasteful.  We tried to catch the pirate show at Treasure Island on the way back but it was closed because they were taking some publicity photos.  I did still get a pirate head mug filled with Strawberry Daiquiri :)  So we went to catch the volcano eruption at the Mirage.  It was good but I understand they are closing it in a few weeks to make it bigger and better.  It seems everybody is trying to outdo each other all the time.  I can't wait to see what they do to it.

We walked by the Karaoke bar at the Imperial Palace and I was tempted but didn't have enough drinks in me then :)  Ended up playing the slots back at Caesars until pretty late.

Here I am opening up my auction win for the first time!

Posing outside Pucci.  I told myself if I won big in Vegas I was going to buy myself a Pucci handbag...but that didn't happen.

Here is a shot down the far end of the strip.  This was great because it was all stuff we never saw the last time here.

The Wynn building is very elegant even from a distance.

Outside the Wynn they had this gorgeous waterfalls it was huge!

This is inside the casino at the Wynn.  The flowers and trees were just amazing.

This area inside the Wynn is called the Lake of Dreams.  The water would change colours.  Again, just gorgeous.
Here is the Pirate ship outside Treasure Island.  Too bad the show was cancelled.

Here I am with my pirate mug posing in front of the Siegfried and Roy statue.
Here is the volcano show at the mirage.
