I was so thankful that we managed to get direct flights for this trip.  Unfortunately they were late flights both ways.  But it was worth it since I got them during a seat sale back in March.  We flew out of Toronto at 8:45pm and arrived in Vegas around 10:30pm.  West Jet flight was fun.  They have TV screen in the backs of all the seats so you can watch whatever you want.  I was watching STAR TV and my I Heart commercial came on!  When we arrived in Vegas one of the stewardesses rapped a cute song over the intercom.  Would fly with them again.

Since we knew we were arriving in Vegas so late I grabbed an online deal I had found back in March for $49/night at the Aladdin.  Because it is under construction to become Planet Hollywood they had some unbeatable deals.  I mean since we were only in the room to sleep that night why pay more? We took a cab from the airport to the Aladdin.  The room was beautiful.  I would have been happy in it all week but we had booked the rest of the week at Caesars Palace.  I wanted someplace with a nice pool and the Aladdin's is pretty plain.  Anyway, great room with a view of the strip.  We didn't bother unpacking just headed down to the casino to play some slots.  The biggest change I have noticed in Vegas since our last trip is the amount of Penny slots available.  They were everywhere!  So that is what I played most of the time.  I was soooooo disappointed that the Marilyn Monroe slots are long gone :(  I had some luck in the Aladdin that night....think I was up $20.  Yippee!  Also, had a couple of bloody Mary's while playing :)  Decided to call it a night around 1:00am.
