We grabbed a couple of muffins and some chocolate milk at the Marketplace in Caesars (kind of like a food court) and then headed to the  pool.  I knew it was going to be a lot hotter than our last trip so I wanted to spend the days by the pool.  That was a big selling point to picking Caesars.  Their pools are just stunning.  There are 4 pools.  The Venus pool is an adults only pool that cost $40/man $20 women to get it - that is where they have topless sunbathing - needless to say we didn't check it out.  The frozen pink lemonades were delicious...although expensive at $11 a piece - but totally worth it.  The waitress wore gold bikinis and they were all beautiful.  The one day a girl came out in the waitress outfit except for a big hat and she was carrying a basket.  It turns out she was walking around feeding people frozen grapes!!

After a few hours baking in the sun we went up to the room, changed and headed over to Margaritaville for a late lunch.  Duane had the biggest plate of nachos I have ever seen - I had, what else but fajitas.  Delicious food.  Glad we came back here again.  Although there was no volcano show or people on stilts like last time.  Got a glimpse of "Big Elvis" at Barbary Coast.  They weren't kidding...but if you closed your eyes you'd swear it was the real thing :) We walked over to The Mirage to pick up the tickets for the Beatles show.  Then grabbed the free shuttle from Caesars to the Rio.  The Rio is off the strip but I heard about a club they have there called Voodoo Lounge on www.fivehundybymidnight.com so wanted to check it out.  I enjoyed the Rio's atmosphere.  They have a show called the Masquerade in the sky.  Where these floats go around the ceiling of the casino with people dancing and tossing beads to the audience.  Very cool.

I think Voodoo lounge was my favourite part of the Vegas trip.  The view is phenomenal.  We went early around 8:00pm so got a good spot to watch the sunset.  Just spectacular to see the strip light up.  If you go you must order a Witch Doctor.  It is a $24 drink but totally worth it.  Duane and I shared one.  It has dry ice in it so it looks like it is smoking.  Be sure to check out the video below.  I was glad we got there early because at least the music was playing then.  Once it got dark a crew set up a shot of some kind (someone said it was a promo for Harrah's properties).  Well this killed the music.  It was probably an hour of no music so we decided to leave - guess it was around 10:30pm.  They were now charging a cover-charge at the door so like I said get to this place early and avoid all of that.

This was the Neptune Bar - yummy frozen drinks.

Gorgeous fountains in this pool - not to mention the waitresses!  You can see the snack bar to the right.  You can order food served right to your lounge chair.

Hope you are hungry!

Wasting away again in Margaritaville.

This is the aquarium behind the front desk at the Mirage.

Masquerade in the Sky at the Rio.  Duane caught some beads for me.

Here is the far end of the strip.  We didn't see any of this on our last trip.

You can see the MGM - big green building- where we stayed last time.  I will never stay at that end of the strip again.  Caesars location was perfect.

Here is a Witch Doctor - can you see the smoke.  Check out the video of it HERE (It is a Windows Media File - 5MB)

They have sunset helicopter tours over the strip.  It was cool to see them go by one after the other.

This was the stupid video shoot that shut down the music.  I imagine this place really gets rocking on a normal night.

II will definitely come back here on the next trip!!!
