One of the finest American Films ever made, All About Eve is a witty, venomous, backstage tale about a ruthless stage actress named Eve and her tainted rise to Broadway stardom.  The film won eleven 1950 Academy Awards including the "Best Motion Picture" Oscar.  Marilyn appears as Miss Caswell, a starlet who is under George Sanders wing.

My opinion: Marilyn appears in only two scenes but she does shine in it. I wouldn't say this is a must to have for a Marilyn fan but it can be enjoyed for the wonderful movie itself.

Review: The New York Herald Tribune
"A brilliant writing-directing stint by Joseph L.Mankiewicz has brightened up the autumn screen...As a director, he has spiced every foot of the film with pointed or amusing detail, and he has summoned a round of tip top performances from Bette Davis, Anne Baxter, George Sanders, Celeste Holm and the others.  The result is one of the finest and most mature pictures to emerge from Hollywood or anywhere else in years."
