Champagne Cross-Stitch

SEVEN YEAR STITCH

I took one of my all-time favourite photos of Marilyn by photographer Bert Stern and turned it into a counted cross-stitch pattern. It is 11X14 inches on 14 count Aida fabric and uses 60 different DMC colours.

Well, after more than a year and a half, I finally finished my Marilyn project. There were times when I didn't think it was going to turn out and I almost quit but I'm glad I stuck it out because I think she is truly breathtaking. The photos below are of her hanging on the wall framed. The final size with the frame is 18X21 inches.
