The Legend runs that Norma Jeane was named by her mother after silent screen siren Norma Talmadge and platinum bombshell Jean Harlow. As appealing as this sounds, Jean Harlow did not change her name from Harlean Carpenter until 1928, two years after young Norma Jeane was born. |
